Step into Summer with Salomons Estate’s Sweet and Fruity New Menu

Outdoor Afternoon Tea for two with sandwiches, scones, pastries and champagne

Salomons Estate, an award-winning events and wedding country house venue is delighted to announce the launch of its new afternoon tea menu, designed to celebrate the essence of a quintessentially British summer.

Featuring all-time favourites with an enticing selection of sweet and seasonal flavours, Head Chef Daniel Yardley said he was determined to bring a unique twist to the English tradition, which can be enjoyed overlooking the estate’s 36-acre grounds.

Nestled in the winding countryside of Tunbridge Wells, the Victorian manor house is a renowned destination for exceptional afternoon tea experiences, showcasing seasonally changing menus that capture the very best of locally sourced British produce.

Available from June 2023, the newly introduced menu features an irresistible selection of scrumptious treats that pay homage to the vibrant flavours of English summertime.

Guests can indulge in popular savoury options including finger-cut sandwiches with cucumber and mint cream cheese, coronation chicken bridge rolls, and a mouth-watering smoked Applewood cheddar and chive tart.

In addition to traditional fruit and vanilla scones served with fresh clotted cream and preserve, the menu showcases an array of sweet, homemade desserts such as matcha tea and pistachio opera cake, raspberry, rosewater and white chocolate flowerpots and blueberry and limoncello posset with toasted meringue.

And to complement the culinary offerings, diners can also look forward to a new tea menu featuring an array of fruit and herbal infusions. Choose from pink grapefruit, red berry, and lemongrass and ginger plus favourites like breakfast tea, Earl Grey blue flower and locally sourced coffees.

Daniel Yardley said: “We’re thrilled to unveil our tasty new menu. It’s our most refreshing yet, with brand new flavours to make all your favourite summer moments just that little bit sweeter”.

Afternoon tea can be enjoyed Monday – Sunday from 12.00 – 16.00 in the conservatory or on the outdoor terrace, which overlooks panoramic views of the estate’s stunning gardens.

It costs from £25.00 per person with the option to upgrade to bubbles, or, enjoy cream tea for just £5.95 and savour two delicious fruit and vanilla scones served with fresh clotted cream and preserve.

Bookings can be made on OpenTable or by calling the team on 01892 515 152.
